About the Speaker
Ana María Bianco (Argentina), obtained her PhD in Mathematics at the University of Buenos Aires. She’s currently working as a full time professor at the Institute of Calculus in the University of Buenos Aires and since 2007 she works as an independent researcher at the National Research Council of Argentina, CONICET. Her current research topics are on robust estimation and inference in the context of regression models. Some of her latest works also include the problem of missing data in the covariates and responses. Prof. Bianco is author of several publications in first-rank peer-reviewed statistical journals and has contributed as referee in statistical journals like Statistica Sinica and Computational Statistics and Data Analysis.
